BEHINDtheDOOR was formed in early 2011 as a design collective; a group of individuals with the same vision, to make web services affordable. The Penguin Package:
We designed this one for newly formed businesses' who are working with a new business budget. That doesn't mean this is a budget package; that's not what we do. What you've got here is the best value for money on the internet. The 'Penguin Package' is nicknamed that because we use the best Linux hosting service that gives you: Unlimited Web Space, Unlimited Bandwidth, Unlimited Email Accounts, Unlimited sub-domains and Secure Nightly Data Back-ups. Not too bad for £1.50p/m.
Email Accounts:
We won't bore you with what an email account is or how useful it would be to your business; that would just be rude. What we tell you is that you can get an unlimited amount of them. Maybe you have multiple departments in your organisation and they all need an email address or perhaps you have offices' in various locations around the UK or the world. Maybe you just have a lot of staff; you can give everybody their own email address with the 'Penguin Package', and it won't cost the earth. In fact it will only cost £1.50p/m. Traditionally providers will charge you to add additional addresses to your account. With BTD you can sign in and check your emails online, just like Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo or you can add your accounts to Outlook, Thunderbird or to your smart phone. We will give you all the settings you need plus helpful guides and 1-2-1 support.
Hosting:
You can have the greatest site in the world but once you have it you need somewhere to put it. And guess what? We'll give you an unlimited amount of space to store it any of your other business documents then we'll give you FTP access to all your files.
Sub-Domains:
These are loads of fun and great if your business has multiple departments or if you want to use have dedicated addresses for different sections of your site, this is great for SEO and allows you to track traffic for individual pages. If your business has a department that deals with stock control and another department for Human Resources and another for customer services and accounts, they can all have a dedicated site within the same company domain. For example, your domain is, www.mybuildingbusiness.co.uk, you could have; 'hr.mybuildingbusiness.co.uk' or 'support.mybuildingbusiness.co.uk' or 'purchasing.mybuildingbusiness.co.uk', this can really help to quickly identify different departments of your company to customers.
